A Pintastic Week - 26.10.2014
Hi guys!
Sorry I didn't post last week, I had been laying in bed all day because I was ill and couldn't even look at a screen... But I'm feeling a lot better now, so let's have a roundup :)
1. Love this dress by VILA.
2. This fabric is just funny, and the animals are quite subtle I think, until you take a closer look. Who wouldn't want a dress with dinosaurs?
3. Classic pants + camisole = win!
4. Let's all dress up as a Chanel bag.
Have a great week!

Sewing inspiration from VILA
Hi!
I was browsing the VILA website and came across a few of their garments that I think I might be able to sew, I'm sure there are some patterns in my pile of Burda magazines that would be perfect.
Which items would you want to add to your closet?

PNP: Motorcycle Card and Cake Topper
Hi there!
I was browsing through pictures and stumbled upon the card and cake topper I made for father's day this year. Somehow I forgot to share it...
My dad is a big fan of motorcycles, he's been driving one for twenty years now, so I wanted to go that way when making him a card for father's day.
When I found this motorcycle card cutting file by Bird, I knew it was perfect (although not the type of motorcycle he drives).
For the cake topper, I used the logo that is used for the motorcycle part of the Brussels Auto Salon, as it is a vector and thus easy to cut out.
He loved it!
Have a great day!

A Pintastic Week - 13.10.2014
Hi guys!
I'm sorry I'm a bit late with this post! I had a busy weekend, but I didn't want to skip this post, so let me share last week's favourite pins.
1. Free crochet pattern for the Harry Potter Sorting Hat.
2. Sequin phrase sweatshirt DIY by A Beautiful Mess.
3. Debbie made this awesome neoprene top.
4. DIY these mini suitcases to keep your travel mementos.
Have a great week!

Pin//Make : Relaxing gift
Hi everyone!
You know how you keep pinning things, thinking 'oh, I have to make this!', and then never make it? It's what happens to me all the time. I have pinned a lot of beautiful things (in my opinion ;) ) but I procrastinate making those things and instead just pin more stuff. So I thought it was time for a new series of posts, in which I make something that I have pinned. I will start with once a month, since I have to write a thesis too, and see how it goes.
Last weekend, I was invited at a friend's, like I mentioned in a previous post, and I actually made two things that I once pinned, so there we go!
I made her a 'relaxing' gift, which included a scented candle (not self-made, just store-bought), a sleeping mask, a bottle of wine and a personalised wine glass.
These are the pins:
- a clever, personalised wine glass by EtchedExpressions on Etsy
- this gorgeous sleeping mask by Ohhh Lulu
And here is what I made (I'm sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, I took them in a rush with no natural light..):
I also made her a card. I adore the Magnolia stamp, so I decided to use it again.
I hope you like it!
Love,
Birgit

A Pintastic Week - 5.10.2014
Hi there!
By the time I finish writing this, we will technically no longer be the 5th October, but well, at this point we still are, so it's not really cheating, is it?
So here we go:
1. I love this look from the Mugler Spring 2015 runway show.
2. A watercolour world map. So pretty!
3. Debbie always makes beautiful cards, and this one is no exception.
4. I love the bit of cheekiness that this sweater has going on.
Apparently I'm getting good at my round-ups, I've never written one so quickly... Or maybe it's because I just didn't have such a hard time to pick this week. Anyway, I'm proud to say that when I'll hit 'publish', we're still the 5th October!
Have a great week!

Magnolia Birthday Card
Hi everyone!
A good friend of mine is celebrating her birthday tomorrow, so I made here a card, obviously. I took it as an opportunity to finally use one of my Magnolia stamps I have laying around.
I created the background by painting pink and grey strokes with watercolour. I first drew some pencil lines so the lines would be evenly separated.
I stamped the Magnolia girl figure on a piece of white paper, coloured her with pencils, and filled in the background with chalk. I chose grey paper to form a bit of contrast with the figure, and added some sequins for a little sparkle.
I have another friend's birthday coming up on Saturday, for whom I am making a handmade gift, so you'll find that here in a couple of days!
Have a nice day!
Love,
Birgit
